June & July Update
We're stepping on the gas and won't be letting up til the end of the summer so buckle up! Every week we have some new fun thing happening, and I have a feeling this season is going to fly by.
We're kicking off our summer party tomorrow with a launch party for our friend Cassandra Peltier's pattern, OkaNoggin Hood. Stop by this Friday, June 19, 11-3 for a launch sale, giveaways and try ons!
Top of our list is GingerSnapis coming all the way from Alberta on Friday, June 26! And they're bringing so many unique hand-dyed yarns, bags, and trinkets. Kim and Collin will be here all day to bless us with their wild and wonderful colourways (and it's Collin's BIRTHDAY...so double the party!). They have become dear friends over the years to many of us in this community, and you won't want to miss their visit, that's for sure!
Our regular Spinny (that's our social for spinning yarn!) has as special pop-up guest, Simply Fibre! Nic is a talented local fibre processor, dyer and jack-of-all-fibre-crafts and will be joining us all-day Sunday June 28. Shop the fresh beautiful batts, yarns, and delights. Bring a spindle, or grab one here because we'll be running all day spinning demos with the goal of starting your spinning journey off with a bang. This is your sign to take up spinning. (And next month, Jill's Fibre is coming!).
We're at a lot of upcoming markets. We're at the Beehive Market July 5th 10-4. Catch us with our bright colours at Pride July 12. Entwined Market is back July 18th 11-5. July 25th we'll be at our friends Arnason Farm Market 11-3. And then of course, Fibrations, August 16th.
We also have adult summer camp kicking off -- aka craft classes! Our friend Noah is coming to teach Tapestry Weaving, which we're so excited about. We have lots of the basics: Learn to Knit and Crochet. We've got newbie sock knitters classes and added a Granny Square Scarf class. We added more multi-level Sweater classes! And by popular request, we're also bringing back our Scrap Knitting Class, a space to finally use up all those little bits and bobs. Weekly gatherings are the backbone of our joy and community here. Feel welcome to stop by anytime, but we really roll out the welcome wagon for socials:
