The Atlantic lobster is an iconic animal in the Maritimes of Canada - the largest lobster on record was caught in Nova Scotia in 1977 and weighed 44 pounds! When lobsters are cooked their shell turns bright orange or red, but when they’re alive they’re a reddish brown. This kit contains enough felt for you to choose which colour you want. Since this is a “live catch” the kit also includes a pair of actual cold water lobster claw bands from Pubnico, NS for your lobster to wear. Intermediate, recommended for ages 12 and up. The techniques are simple but there is more stitching than in the other kits, and a few of the steps involve smaller pieces that require a bit of extra patience to assemble.

Each kit envelope contains step-by-step photo illustrated instructions, paper pattern pieces, wool blend felt, pair of 6mm beads, pipe cleaner, lobster bands, embroidery floss, needle and pins.
Stuffing is not included as the finished piece is easy to stuff using scraps of felt or fabric cut into small bits, cotton balls as well as traditional stuffing.
